Questions of authority, implied, ostensible and actual, and breach of warranty of authority, often comprise elements of broader disputes between contracting parties in which members of Chambers are involved, as well as being the subject of litigation between principal and agent themselves. We have experience with agency disputes in a range of commercial contexts, from carriage of goods to claims for commission by those (such as recruitment and estate agents) who facilitate transactions between a principal and third parties.
