Legacies to Charities

Charities often benefit from gifts made by Will. Our charity practitioners are experienced trust, probate and estate lawyers, and can act for parties in cases requiring expertise in both charity law and the law relating to Wills, probate and estates. Such cases may raise questions concerning the validity or interpretation of gifts to charities, the administration of estates in which charities (or charity in general) have an interest, the promotion of cy-près schemes, the exercise of the Royal Sign Manual jurisdiction, inheritance tax saving arrangements, and claims made against charities under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
